  • AMG SL 55 v 911 GTS: Which is best?

But what happens if you’re in the market for one and can’t decide which to choose? Well, Mat’s here to help you make that decision!

So let’s see how the two compare, starting with the design. The new SL 55 rolls up with a super aggressive front end, with a big AMG grille straddling the centre with big air vents on either side. It’s a bit tamer around the back, but at least you get quad-tailpipes with it. As for the Porsche, it has the traditional sloping bonnet up front for that classic 911 look. The rear end’s a bit large, but that’s what you expect when you choose a convertible.

One thing these cars both have in common is the quality of the interior. The AMG comes with its customary jet engine-style air vents, good-quality materials throughout, as well as a huge infotainment screen in the centre. You’ll also find carbon fibre trim on the centre console. As for the Porsche, it’s also made with high-quality materials throughout, and in our opinion has a slightly better build quality. The dials also look absolutely gorgeous!

But of course, it’s not all about style… Sports cars need to have performance, and neither of these cars is lacking in that department! The Porsche is powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can deliver 480hp and 570Nm of torque. As for the AMG, it’s housing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet that can deliver 476hp and 700Nm. However, whereas the Porsche only drives the rear wheels, the AMG sends power to all four!

When it comes to the price, the Porsche comes in at just under £125,000, although if you spend £6,000 more you can get it with AWD. As for the AMG, it’s a whole lot more expensive, coming in at over £147,000!

So is it worth splashing more cash on the AMG? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

  • New Toyota Aygo X review!
    ................
Say hello to the new Toyota Aygo X!

Toyota’s beefed up its entry-level offering, and it’s now one of the smallest crossover SUVs you can buy! But is it really worth it?

Well, let’s check out the design. It’s clear to see it’s increased in size compared to the previous edition, having grown slightly wider, longer and taller! It also comes in a pretty fetching two-tone paint, and if you’re willing to splash the cash, you can ever get it with a canvas folding roof!

On the inside, it’s clear that this is Toyota’s entry-level car. There’s scratchy plastic found throughout the cabin, apart from on the areas you’ll touch often, such as the steering wheel and gear stick. The infotainment screen ranges between 7 - 9 inches, and the graphics are suitable for a car of this size. Thankfully Android Auto & Apple CarPlay are both available.

Where the Aygo X is really let down is the engine. There’s only one available, a 1-litre 3 cylinder that produces an almighty 72hp.

The Aygo X starts from just £16,000, so should you choose it over competitors such as the SEAT Ibiza or Hyundai i10? Stick with Mat to see for yourself!

  • 3-Wheeler DRAG RACE
    ..............
Get ready for what is easily one of our strangest drag races to date!

We've got our hands on a group of three-wheelers and we're going to put them through their paces over the quarter-mile!

Now when it comes to performance, there's only one thing we know for sure... None of them are fast! The most powerful car we have here is the Reliant Regal, which has an 848cc engine which produces around 37hp. Alongside that we have the smallest car in the world, the Peel P50, followed by a Tuk Tuk, an Isetta, and a Piaggio Ape!

So what do we think...Will any of them make it to the quarter-mile in under a minute? There's only one way to find out - LET'S RACE!

  • New LaFerrari with 1,100hp!

That’s right, not long after Ferrari revealed its first SUV, it looks like it’s also working on its first electric car… And we have some exclusive images of what we think it will look like!

But how can we be so sure? Well for starters, Ferrari’s CEO confirmed that he expects electric cars to make up about 5% of the manufacturer’s sales in 2026. So with that in mind, we're almost certain that plans for its first EV must be underway already.

We don’t have many details to share yet, but based on the recently unveiled Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, coupled with some official patents, we’ve drawn up what we think this all-new electric hypercar could look like. And we'll be sharing these exclusive renders in this video!

But what do you think - does our vision for Ferrari’s first electric car look good? Let us know in the comments!

  • Lamborghini Aventador SVJ v 585hp Kia EV6 GT: DRAG RACE

This is definitely a petrol vs electric drag race you weren’t expecting to see today!

We’ve got Mark McCann in his Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and he’s lining up against Mat in a Kia EV6!

This is no normal EV6, though, it’s the EV6 GT! As a result, this EV is equipped with two electric motors that can produce an incredible 585hp and 740Nm of torque! It’s pretty heavy though, with its 77kWh battery pack helping it tip the scales at 2,125kg! However, it’s still relatively cheap, coming in at £63,000.

As for the Lambo, well it’s a whole lot more expensive, costing around £380,000! Naturally, though, it’s packed full of power, with its 6.5-litre V12 good for 770hp and 720Nm. It’s much lighter than the Kia, too, coming in at 1,525kg.

Think it’ll be a walkover for the Lambo? Well, perhaps Mat has a trick up his sleeve! There’s only one way to find out what it is, though… LET’S RACE!

  • It’s time for a Germany vs Italy head-to-head!

We’ve got Mat lining up in the all-new BMW M4 CSL, and he’s going up against Yianni in the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA! Both of these cars are super rare, with only 10 of each being sold in the UK! The question is, which is quickest over the quarter-mile?

Starting with the BMW, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six which is good for 550hp and 650Nm of torque. It drives the rear wheels only, and tips the scales at 1,625kg - 100kg less than the standard M4! It’ll set you back a fair bit, though, costing £126,000!

Then we have the Alfa. It’s housing a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet which can produce 540hp and 600Nm. It’s lighter than the BMW, at 1,540kg, but it’s also more expensive, coming in at £150,000! Just like the BMW, it also drives the rear wheels only.

So the Alfa is down on power, but it’s also lighter! Will that prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out - LET’S RACE!

  • The most hi-tech car I've ever driven!

Meet the most luxurious, hi-tech cars BMW has ever released - the new BMW 7 Series & BMW i7! Mat’s flown over to America to get his hands on these two luxurious limos to give them a full-blown, proper in-depth review!

Let’s start with a look at the design. One thing’s for sure, from the back and the side, there’s no hiding that this is clearly a 7 Series. Sure there have been a few design upgrades over the previous generation, but the side and rear profile are quite clearly in the traditional 7 Series mold.

But of course, it’s up top where things get interesting, with an absolutely massive double kidney grille that dominates the front end. Combine this with the split headlight design on either side, and you've got yourself one car that will definitely turn heads!

Once you step inside, you are treated to a cabin absolutely full of high-quality materials, including leather & carbon on the dash, soft-touch felt on the roof, and super comfortable cashmere seats. You’ll also find the same swooping infotainment screen as in the new iX.

But of course, the main feature of this interior is the huge 31-inch 8K cinema screen in the back! This thing is absolutely insane, and when you combine it with the ability to fully recline the seats in the back, there’s no denying that this is pretty much the best bit of technology we’ve got our hands on in any car… EVER!

When it comes to performance, the range-topping BMW i7 60 comes with two electric motors to deliver 544hp and 745Nm of torque. It comes with a 102kWh battery pack that’s good for a claimed range of 388 miles. As for the BMW 7 Series, it comes with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that delivers an almost identical 544hp and 750Nm.

As for the price, the 7 Series starts at £102,000, while the i7 starts at £108,000. But are they both worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!
